On April 2, with the sound of the whistle, a freight train departed from Kashgar Station, and the Central Asia train from Kashgar, Xinjiang, China to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, departed.
This special train carries textiles, daily necessities and agricultural products exported by companies in the Kashgar region to Central Asian countries. It starts from Kashgar Station and exits through the Khorgos Port. It is expected to arrive at the terminal in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in about 12 days.
Kashgar is an important fulcrum in southern Xinjiang, the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt. It has a unique location advantage of "connecting the east and the west, connecting the inside and outside". It is an open highland, an energy treasure, a tourist attraction, and a strategic location. At present, the local area is accelerating the promotion of key logistics projects such as the Kashgar International Logistics Port China-Europe Railway Express Southern Xinjiang Assembly Center, the North Railway Station Multimodal Transport Center, the Railway North Freight Station to the Economic Development Zone Highway Connection Line, and the Kashgar Railway Station Small Commodity Storage Distribution Center. These will build a solid guarantee for the development of international logistics with large imports and large exports. The opening of the train has provided a new platform and opened new channels for enterprises in the Kashgar region, Xinjiang, and the whole country to explore the Central Asian market. It also provides more options for foreign trade companies in the Kashgar region to "go global".
