According to Taiwan media, Evergreen, Yang Ming, and Wan Hai’s revenue increased simultaneously in March, sweeping away the haze of continuous recession. Evergreen’s consolidated revenue in March was NT$21.885 billion, a monthly increase of 17.15% and an annual decrease of 62.7%. Evergreen Shipping pointed out that with the gradual resumption of production lines after the Spring Festival, the export cargo load in March increased significantly compared with February. The spot goods of major international east-west routes have shown a rebound. The recent increase in cargo volume in Europe, coupled with the shipment volume on the eve of the May Day holiday in mainland China, is expected to drive the increase in overall cargo load, which is expected to help the revenue performance in the market outlook.

Yang Ming’s revenue in March was 12.927 billion yuan, a monthly increase of 14.31% and a yearly decrease of 65.86%. Due to the resumption of work after the Lunar New Year, the overall operating volume increased. Yang Ming said that the Shanghai Export Container Freight Index (SCFI) has recently reversed upwards, and the idle state of the global container fleet has dropped from the peak, bringing two dawns to the shipping market.
