Xiamen Port has completed the standardization containers
Recently, Xiamen Port has completed the standardization of the mixed stacking of dangerous goods containers and general cargo containers. The five mixed storage yards are Haitian Terminal, Hairun Terminal, Songyu Container Terminal, International Container Terminal and Yuanhai Terminal. The total area of the mixed storage yard is 53,000 square meters, and the total designed container space is 1948 standard. box.
The ability to operate dangerous cargo containers is an important content for Xiamen Port to participate in the competition of modern international large ports. In recent years, the export volume of dangerous goods has been so large that the storage yards for dangerous goods cannot meet the requirements for storing all dangerous goods containers, and some routes loaded with dangerous goods containers also need to be adjusted according to the actual situation.
The Xiamen Port Administration established a project team and entrusted the Institute of Water Transport Science of the Ministry of Transport to prepare a safety evaluation report, which passed the review of the expert review meeting. According to the plan, designated areas will be designated to allow mixed stacking of Class 8 and Class 9 solid dangerous goods containers and ordinary cargo containers, so as to release the storage capacity of dangerous goods.
